CHAPTER START---

"Seriously?" Horizon asks as Endeavor lands on the battlefield.

Behind him, Guardian Dragon stays close and almost wraps around Endeavor with his massive body, slowly transferring his bright blue flames to the man.

"I thought you, of all people, would know better than to come here."

Endeavor glares at Horizon. "I do, but technically you're still a Sidekick at my Hero Agency. So I have a responsibility to put a stop to this sad excuse for a suicide note."

Horizon sighs, looking down at the broken sword in his grasp. "Well then, come show them why you're #1."

Horizon rushes forward, sprinting across the battlefield while preparing to strike with the energy blade.

Endeavor uses the bright blue flames to assist him. While they are vastly inferior to his flames, they provide him with a launching point, saving him precious energy.

The flames mixed, and bright orange and blue flames enveloped Endeavor before condensing onto his right arm and fist.

He charges at Horizon like a rocket and launches a powerful right to meet his slash.

"Vanishing Fist!" Endeavor puts everything he has into this clash, desperately trying to build a raft with the power his forces have.

All to weather the vast hurricane that is Horizon.

Horizon feels all the heat and flames condensed into the strike. The surrounding ground, already scorched and filled with craters from the lightning, becomes molten and is pushed away via air pressure like waves on the ocean.

The other Pro Heroes squint and wince, unable to handle the heat, and the same goes for Endeavor's body. His entire right arm sufferers 3rd degree burns, scorching him down to the bones.

As he shatters Horizon's energy blade.

'Shit!' Horizon thinks as Endeavor's fist connects with his chest, incinerating the blade and hilt entirely until it is molten slag in his hand.

He tumbles across the battlefield for a hundred feet before catching himself and skidding to a stop, flicking the molten metal off his hand.

Endeavor is barely awake as all the Pro Heroes, and the entire world, hold their breaths.

Only for Horizon to rise to his feet with a burn mark in the middle of his chest.

'He doesn't have his sword now. This is our chance,' the Pro Heroes hear through the mental link.

And Horizon knows this is the obvious thought process they would follow. After all, he is famous for being absurdly powerful with his sword.

'Don't get cocky,' they are warned through the link, by Dynamight of all people. 'He's still stronger than all of you. Be on guard.'

Seeing their trepidation, Horizon looks at his damaged hand and sighs, then cracks his neck and takes one step forward.

SHAMBLES!

He appears in front of Endeavor and punches the man in the face, hard enough to knock him into the air for nearly three stories, rattling his brain and cracking his skull.

Endeavor's vitals immediately go critical. Before anyone can move, he's swallowed by a purple Warp Gate, then the other Pro Heroes rush Horizon.

'He's this physically strong?' One of them asks while seeing Horizon out muscles a man with Super Power before using Lasik to burn a hole through his skull.

Then Guardian Dragon charges in, only for Horizon to seemingly wave his hand in the air. Then, a wave of air pressure slams into the Dragon's face, diverting its path as he continues fighting the other Pro Heroes.

'He's strong, but nothing we haven't seen before,' Guardian Dragon says through the link. 'He's keeping our physically strongest fighters at a distance. Only using his other abilities on us to save energy and keep himself safe. He can't keep this up forever, and he knows if we land one solid hit on him, we win!'

'It should be over soon,' many of them think. 'He's already so tired, just another minute or two and we'll finish this…'

They were terribly wrong.

---23 Minutes Later…

Standing at a control terminal, Mudman and Phantom Thief are watching the battle continue through multiple screens. Grim expressions below their mask as their forces slowly chip away at Horizon.

"We can't keep this up forever," Phantom Thief says. "I don't even remember what number this is."

"He hasn't been warping for the past minute. I think he's finally out of steam, but I can't tell how far his range is."

"He's been getting hit more. I think it's time for our big gun."

Mudman sighs. "This isn't the kind of thing we'll get a second chance with. I have to be sure."

"I know, but maybe you haven't noticed." He turns around to look at the massive medical bay. Over a thousand Pro Heroes in critical condition receiving emergency treatment. "We're running out of bodies to throw at him."

"Yeah, and if we keep this up, our in-house supply of Panacea will run out, too. And I don't think we'll ever get any more."

Phantom Thief rubs the back of his head. "Star and Stripe beat him down to the bones, and now we've sent over 2300 Pro Heroes into hell to give him that last push. This is probably the best chance we got."

Mudman looks at a specific part of the bay, where a half-conscious Chinese Dragon is being treated while holding some of his guts from falling out of a tear on his belly.

"What are you thinking?" Phantom Thief asks.

"Guardian Dragon is our best chance at keeping him occupied. He's been out of the fight for almost a minute now, so soon, Horizon will start recovering faster than we can exhaust him."

"So we don't have the luxury to let him fully heal." Phantom Thief frowns, watching the Dragon groan while doctors try to put him back together. "I kind of wish this was one of those comic books, where you could drop Ryuko in front of him to calm him down."

"Me too, but putting her on camera, on the battlefield, would sure as hell make things a lot worse."

"Yeah. I'll go get our dragon into position. You should give them the signal."

---A Small Island Outside Tokyo Bay…

Watching the burning, molten mountains in the distance, Dynamight and Deku can't help but feel anxious, knowing what's going on over there.

They are watching the fight unfold from this deserted island that was mostly flooded because of the Mystery Class Clash.

With them were a few other Pro Heroes, including France's #1 Pro Hero, who is connecting everyone via telepathy.

He is also allowing Dynamight to share intel about Horizon with the Pro Heroes and connect everyone subconsciously to have them work in perfect sync.

This is the main reason they haven't all died by now. Something they were painfully aware of.

Much to their surprise, after a mere minute since being warped away from the battlefield, Guardian Dragon is brought back onto the field.

He stumbles out of the purple Warp Gate, holding his guts with his left front leg, preventing it from spilling onto the ground.

"What the hell?" Dynamight mutters as they see him charge Horizon.

Then they get a communication that has them all take their positions, ready for the final push.

Back on the battlefield, Horizon sees the dragon rushing toward him and barely has the energy to move his body, let alone fight a #1 Pro Hero.

He shoves the two Pro Heroes that were trying to distract him away, knowing something's wrong.

'He's too hurt. They could have healed him in a few minutes with some Panacea. This means either they're out of bodies, or they're planning something. Must be planning something. Juzo isn't the type to sacrifice people so easily, especially not an essential piece.'

Horizon shoves them away and dashes to his left, avoiding a swipe of the dragon's claws.

It then spins around to swipe him with a tail attack, and he forces to raise his hands and block the attack.

It sends him tumbling through the battlefield, confirming their suspicion that he's truly exhausted.

Seeing this, Guardian Dragon rushes forward, suddenly becoming feral, surprising everyone. Desperate to end this battle before more people die.

Horizon sees a massive dragon palm descending to crush him and raises his hand, catching it.

The ground around them shatters as Horizon sinks ankle deep into the charred and broken battlefield.

But much to his surprise, the dragon stops holding in its guts with its other hand and thrusts its claws forward.

Horizon screams as his bones break and muscles tear, but he holds the descending palm with one hand and the claw moving toward his gut like a spear with the other.

But in his exhaustion, he could only do so much, and the dragon's enormous claws pierce his Body Glove, spilling his blood onto the ground.

Warp Gates open around the battlefield and get everyone else out of there. And to Horizon's surprise, the claw pushing him into the earth moves and digs into the ground, then both limbs become super-heated.

The claw in the earth binds to the battlefield while the claw piercing his body a few inches deep sears his flesh with itself.

"ARGH!" He screams in agony as his flesh cooks.

He tries to muster whatever strength he has left to warp away, but with his body prioritizing healing, he cannot.

And he knows that even if he had the energy, because he's effectively welded to the dragon which is welded to the ground, he'd have to warp the entire island or break off the piece he's connected to.

And with his Room shrunk to less than 50m -150ft-, in his exhausted state, he has no response to what happens next…

---Seconds Earlier…

Taking a sprinter's stance, Deku digs into the ground and focuses on the battlefield far ahead of him.

'One for All: 100%!'

Lightning dances around his body as the entire island they're on shakes.

Each twitch of his muscles reverberates out like a minor earthquake.

Each movement as he adjusts his stance causes hurricane-like winds.

Each breath rips the air away from the atmosphere and into his lungs.

"Now!" Dynamight says, and Deku launches forward faster than they could see.

Now, having surpassed All Might's 100%, he kicks off the air above the ocean like a solid platform.

Each step displaces the air and water below him, all the way to the bedrock. Dynamight has to hold on to the other Pro Heroes with them. They all got blasted into the air by the pressure cannon caused by his movements and depended on Dynamight to fly them back to the island.

The cloudy afternoon sky above splits in Deku's wake, perfectly mirroring the ocean that was parted all the way to the floor as he sprints through the air toward the battlefield

Each step echoed out for miles, a cacophony of thunder, devastating everything around it. His movement is so fast that hundreds of steps overlap, and the shockwave strikes as if it were one.

All the way to the battlefield, where he sees Horizon anchored to the floor by a large dying dragon.

Gritting his teeth, he focuses his mind, and intentionally overburdens his body. Drawing over 100% of his power for a millisecond as he cleaners the hundreds of feet between himself at Horizon.

'ONE FOR ALL: 110%—'

Deku feels all the bones in his leg ache and crack, as for the first time in years his Quirk hurts his own body.

But ignoring the pain, he kicks off the air while taking a deep breath, spins into a front flip, and aims both his metal boots at the side of Horizon's visor.

'UNITED WORLD—'

Horizon can barely mentally react, and certainly can't prepare for what he's about to experience.

Only able to glance to the side and see the bottom of Deku's boots millimeters away from the right side of his visor.

'SMASH!'

Deku's feet cash into his face, rattling his skull and breaking damn near every bone in Horizon's body as he's sent rocketing from the battlefield.

The force of his attack strikes everything around it like a nuclear blast wave, breaking the dragon claw that was in Horizon's gut and sending it with him, all the way to the edge of the 25km wide pit in Tokyo.

He slams into the edge and shatters it, punching through the wall of the pit and deep into the mountains outside of Tokyo.

The instant Deku's attack landed, Horizon's mind went blank, making him unable to feel the excruciating pain of it all. Instead, he only felt a peaceful sleep after the most exhausting day of his life.

Dropping to the ground, Deku ignores his bleeding legs to look over at the dying dragon.

"Will you be alright?" he asks, only for a purple warp gate to swallow up the dragon and take him for treatment that would save his life.

---Elsewhere…

Stepping out of a purple warp gate, Mudman and Phantom Thief are flanked by Dynamight and Tsukuyomi.

In front of them is Horizon, lodged into the side of a now-demolished cliff.

Glancing back, they see the path of destruction his landing caused, including the top of a small mountain that was suspiciously missing.

"I think Deku may have overdone it," Dynamight mutters, wincing at the bloody condition Horizon was in, and seeing all the surrounding destruction.

"This is what he wanted," Mudman says. "Everyone just doing what they agreed to do. No going back on your word, ever."

As they look at his mangled body, much to their horror, his hands twitch.

"Fuck, he's already healing," Dynamight says.

"I'm on it." Phantom Thief creates a warp gate around Horizon, wasting no time to warp him to the cell that can supposedly contain him. "Alright, now what?"

"Cleanup?" Tsukuyomi asks as he looks back at all the destruction, including the mountains that were still molten hot in the distance.

"That's not my concern," Mudman says. "I'm going to get some answers. And remember, you're the only one here that's still a Pro Hero of Japan. We're with America and the UN Team."

"I suppose you're right, but we could use all the help we can get."

"I have bigger things to worry about, like preparing for the next Tech and Flect turn now that we have no Mystery Class Quirks on our side."

"I've been trying not to think about that," Phantom Thief says. "Whatever, it'll be fine when we get Horizon back."

"Problems for later," Dynamight says. "Let's grab Deku and get the hell out of here. After the debrief, we can talk about what happens next."

With that, Phantom Thief opens a warp gate and takes them all away from the ruins of Tokyo City. Leaving the pit in the earth and the floating island above it, as permanent fixtures on the land.

A constant reminder of the aftermath of the Mystery Class Clash…
