Tong Mo couldn't wait to share a meal with him, and she nodded repeatedly, "Then I won't be polite, Teacher!"
"Why should you be polite? You were the one who made all the dishes." Zhuo Wen felt like he was the one who should be courteous.
"But the ingredients are from your home..." Tong Mo cheekily winked at him before turning around to serve the rice.
Zhuo Wen smiled helplessly, "I can't win an argument with you."
During the meal, Tong Mo subtly probed for information, "Teacher, is your family from this city?"
"Yes," Zhuo Wen nodded as he ate.
Tong Mo nibbled on her chopsticks and curiously asked, "Then don't you live with your parents?"
Mentioning this, a tinge of melancholy appeared on Zhuo Wen's face, "I'm from a single-parent family. My father was diagnosed with kidney disease a couple of years ago and is currently undergoing treatment in the hospital. It's just unfortunate that we cannot find a kidney donor."
