Being transferred in the middle of the year brings a lot of attention toward Masaru from the people around him as he make his LONG way to meet the director just like how he is instructed by his mother with a letter for the director. Masaru can be seen standing like a soldier in front of an elderly man, who has long spiky gray hair with a mustache and a beard. He also has a scar on his right eye running diagonally from the middle of his forehead down to just above his right cheekbone, this person is none other than Sanzaemon Nakiri, The director of Totsuki Culinary Academy famous for providing the best and the harshest culinary education.
"Masaru do you know who I am?" says Sanzaemon after finish reading the letter brought by Masaru "yes sir, you are Senzaemon Nakiri, Director of Totsuki Culinary Academy" "That's not what i mean, *sigh* do you know who i am to you and your mother" says Sanzaemon to Masaru. "Masaru, your mother is like my own daughter her father is a best friend of mine even after we graduate and went our separate way we still stay in contact from time to time. 'lets play guessing game, he will say that we are family so start call him grandpa when its not involving formal stuff' thought Masaru to himself. What I'm meant to say is we are family even if not by blood so start calling me grandpa when its not involving formal stuff okay".
"I don't see anything wrong with that since I never get a chance to meet any of them, so thank you grandpa" says Masaru, making the old man smile from ear to ear "HAHAHAHA I've always want a grandson since I have 2 granddaughter" afterward they talk for a long time, mostly its Sanzaemon the one that talks from sharing stories about his youth years to giving life advice and some about how to survive in the academy.
And just like that Masaru's first day in his new school went by in a flash. 'So I do actually get a glimpse of the future after using the skill upgrade on Observation Haki'.For the past years after he got his first mission he only got 3 more mission where one of it he has to beat up the school trouble makers which afterward he got mission beat he gang from the other school than come to disturb the student from his school, after successfully completing the 2 mission students from both school start to call him aniki much to his dismay, each of the mission only give him skill upgrade ticket. The last one of the 3 mission is a mission where he would rather forget and the mission reward him with item selection ticket. Unknown to him the thing he pick using the ticket will always remind him of that place and his first kill.
Masaru decided to use the 2 skill upgrade ticket that he has on Armament and Conqueror haki since he's more compatible with Observation haki, where after years of training inside the Pandemonium Castle he manage to increase his level of Observation haki from beginner all the way to mastered while the other 2 haki only advance into intermediate and now thanks to the tickets he has mastered all 3 of them. When he finally decided to use the item selection ticket is when he realize upgrading his skill lock into property lock which in turn upgrade SiSy is actually a right thing to do since thanks to that he has more leeway of picking what item he wants.
According to SiSy if he didn't upgrade the system he can only pick and item from a franchise that the decided by a roulette... yes roulette, seems like even his gacha addiction follow him to this life ... not like he's complaining but now it instead decide where he can pick his item from which the roulette now is divided into 6 and 2 of the section has Anime, Tv & movie and game and for his first ticket it landed on games and he pick a weapon from DMC series which is a game he play when he was a kid. People might think that it must be yamato since that sword is powerful but this is not the case this time.
(A/N: I legit do the roulette thing on google so.....don't expect the constant good things since my luck is ground level of low)
'are we there yet?' said two voices inside of Masaru's head. The owner of the voices is indeed the weapon that he choose.
'no we're not there yet and both of you need to stop asking that, we'll be there when we get there. If you keep asking I'll use both of you as a hair dryer!' thought Masaru inside his head answering the two voices. Not getting anymore respond from the two, Masaru continue his journey in silent toward the dormitory that he's gonna call home for the next three years. When he arrive he recognize the place as Polar Star Dormitory. There is two reasons why he is excited to finally arrive at the dormitory, one he finally can check at what years in Shokugeki no Souma is he in and to finally get some rest as he's been walking for a long time. Just as he about to knock the door, the door just burst open and a group of people walks out with angry expression.
"And who might you be?" asked a women with gray color hair, which reached below her shoulder with a few strands crossing her eyes standing with her arms cross inside the dorm. 'is this the kid that gonna join the dorm?' she thought while scanning the tall teenager that seems to be around 175 cm.
"My name is Masaru and I am the new resident here according to what I was told" asked Masaru a little bit surprise to find the dorm keeper that is quite old inside the anime appear to be younger with this Masaru conclude that either this is one of the changes done to the Shokugeki world to fit together with monster musume's world or he is years before the plot start, if its the latter, the question is how far back is he?
"Hmmm I'm Fumio Daimido, this dorm warden and you'll become the official resident after you pass my test!" says Fumio not expecting much from the new kid since there is only one other people staying in the dorm after most that assigned to the dormitory didn't pass her test except for one girl leaving the third and seconds years which ended up dropping out either because of stress, or losing in a shokugeki leaving only the first year girl and herself as a resident of the Polar Star Dormitory.
'so it'll be a cooking test like what is in the anime. Good thing i get the skill for this thing' The other thing that Masaru also out about the upgraded system is that it now has a somewhat of an achievement reward where after you completed certain requirement you will be rewarded with either item or skill. So far he had completed only one which give him household skill where even if he only do cooking for years he will get better at other things such as doing laundry and cleaning. When the both of them arrive to the kitchen,
"he looks like another failure" says a short girl with a petite slender body. She has purple eyes and dark blue hair that is tied into a ponytail by a ribbon and reaches just below her tailbone. Clearly looking down on Masaru or in this case looking down while looking up.
"What's with this sassy ..... lost child" says Masaru while looking toward Fumio and pointing his finger toward the girl. His comment clearly pissed off the girl that appeared in the anime for a few time and further confirming that he is a few years before the story started if it still gonna happen that is.
"Who Are You Calling Lost Child, For Your Information I'm A Healthy Grown Up Woman!" she says while puffing up her almost non-existent chest clearly getting pissed that someone dared to call her a child.
"Wait you're a girl?, I thought you're a boy." says Masaru with the best shocked face he can make clearly messing with the girl.
'if the kid pass this test, I'm sure it'll be fun from today onwards' thought Fumio while looking at the two bantering, one pissed off while the other clearly doing it on purpose. Unknown to the girl thanks to short temper especially when its concerning her chest.
After a while, the banter between the two stop with the girl went back to her room and Masaru getting ready for his dormitory entrance test. After giving Masaru the signal to start cooking, Fumio take a seat in front of the counter while spectating Masaru cooking with what he has inside the kitchen. After a while he presented to Fumio the dish and pass the test, when he finally get the key to his room from the warden he went straight to his room and decided to call it a night and that's how his first day in the new environment ended, with a friendly conversation with the other resident of the dormitory.
(A/N: I'm not good with this food nutrition cooking process kind of stuff so I'm not even gonna try)
