Jack's POV
"What? Why are you bringing Charlotte with you?" My mother asked after I told her I was coming home with Charlotte over the phone.
"Hadn't Lianne told you about us?" I asked, and my mom fell silent.
"Of course, I wasn't happy when I learned about your relationship with her. Why, of all the people, did you choose Charlotte Davinson, Jack? Have you forgotten how she hated Madeline?" My Mom asked.
"She plotted evil things against Maddie to make her run away from their mansion." She added, and I let out a hefty sigh.
"Mom, I am your son, and you know me. I will never associate myself with someone who is evil. I understand you have doubts about her, but believe me, she isn't what we thought she was, and I hope you will give her a chance." I responded, and Mom fell silent.
"I love her, mom. I haven't felt this way since Madeline. It would be hard for you to accept her immediately, but she is my girlfriend now, and I want you to get along with her." I added.
