Chapter 1 - Crippled in the First Chapter?!

"...Fuck this crap." A blonde boy around the age of 17 muttered, sitting on a medical bed with a broken and bandaged left leg.

Meanwhile, to his side, a doctor wearing a white coat gasped at the teen's words. "Watch your tone, young man! We're still on sacred grounds! Why would you refuse to pray for our Goddess?"

The boy scoffed at the doctor's words and replied. "Why would praying fix my leg? It's not like Ilias will descend here and heal my broken leg if I start praying. From where I come from, it was the doctors that helped people, not hopes and prayers."

Victor Luis, the blonde young man, was currently pissed off for many reasons.

The first one was that – for some kind of reason that he can't understand yet – he was pulled out of his videogame time and displaced here, in the weird and perverted world of Monster Girl Quest.

Second, out of all places he could gave spawned in, it was in the way of a falling tree just chopped by a lumberjack, which crashed down on his left leg before he could get out of the way.

Third, this ABSOLUTE moron of a doctor simply bandaged his leg, stuck some rods around it, and told him that he should pray to the 'Goddess Ilias' so he could hope to recover back to his 100% one day. Was he actually a certified doctor!? This lazy doctor did the bare minimum and had the face to tell him to beg for it!

"Hmph, if this is how you really are, I can see why Ilias let the tree fall down on your leg." ...And here it was!

That's it!

"How about you start praying?! Give me a fucking wheelchair and you better hope that I won't return here anymore! You won't like what I will do to you the next time I see you!" Seriously, what was the deal with the workers in this place? It wasn't like Ilias' religion was some kind of cult here!

The doctor scoffed, bringing further annoyance to Victor. At the very least, though, the man did bring back a wooden wheelchair for him.

"Leave and never step back in this sacred temple anymore, you infidel!"

"Cunt." Victor spat as he forced himself to reach the wheelchair, while the doctor simply watched the patient with a sneer on his face, not doing anything to assist him out of pettiness.

Victor grunted when he finally got on the chair and glared at the doctor. "What the fuck are you looking at, you sack of shit?"

The doctor glared back at Victor and told him. "You are lucky that you are disabled or I would…"

"'Would' what? You take me for a disabled only because I got a broken leg? Your ancient brain couldn't even make some complex calculus before exploding and you call me disabled? Do you want to see how I'll bring you at my same level?! See if you'll still be in the mood to pray then!" Victor threatened the doctor by wheeling at his direction, making him flinch with the fake tackle.

Seeing that, Victor ultimately scoffed and wheeled out of the medical room, leaving the rude doctor on his own.

Outside, he was welcomed by a white room filled with nurses, doctors, other patients, and even actual nuns and priests. Victor ignored them all, however, as he wheeled to the exit.

And as he left the Temple of Ilias in a bad mood, he suddenly came to face with a threatening enemy that struck him in his most vulnerable time… Stairs.

There was an abominable number of stairs from the hill where the Temple of Ilias was built in, all the way to the bottom where Ilias Village was set up.

A groan escaped from his mouth as he observed how long was the staircase, before he looked at the edges and taking notice of a long ramp that seemed built exactly for the disabled like him.

However... Was it really safe?

All the bravado he had with the rude doctor suddenly shifted into fear, and hesitation took a hold on his hands that were holding on the wheels. Actually, there was 'something' that might help him in this situation, but he didn't have any chance to use it as someone approached him from behind.

"Do you need any help?" The words sounded angelic to him, as if the savior Himself descended behind Victor to rescue him from this terrible situa—Was those purple hair?

Just as Victor turned around to see who was merciful enough to help him, his eyes settled on a young teen with purple hair that was practically impossible to not recognize.

Luka, the protagonist of Monster Girl Quest, was here.

"Oh, oh yes." Victor nodded as he quickly recovered from the surprise. "It's like 3 minutes since I got in this wheelchair so… I'm kind of scared of going through the ramps."

Some among the people who heard him started to chuckle at the embarrassing declaration, albeit their whispers didn't escape Victor's sharp hearing.

"Haha! Real funny! I know!" Victor shouted sarcastically as he gazed at the passing folk, who were caught red-handed and hurried past with an awkward silence.

"Hey! Don't start running now! Come here and tell me what's so funny! I want to laugh too!" He insisted as he spun his wheelchair around, trying to catch up to the people who were going within the temple, but Luka pulled him to a stop before he could.

"Wait, wait! There's no need to get angry!" Luka exclaimed. "I'm sure they didn't mean it that way."

"Tch..." Victor clicked his tongue as he saw the people leaving the area faster than he could reach them, and gave up under the purple-haired boy's pleas.

As he calmed down, Victor slowly turned to the purple-haired teen and sighed. "Sorry about that, I'm... I'm not in a good mood. Anyway, could you please carry my wheelchair through the ramp? Just enough to go in the right direction; as for pushing me, I will do that myself."

"It's… It's not a problem, I'll gladly do it." The boy sweatdropped at the switch of tone that Victor took, and grasped the handles behind the wheelchair before helping him roll down the long ramp.

For safety, Victor gripped his wheelchair hard because there was no such thing as a seat belt, so he had to take precautions when his body was pending forward. But fortunately for his heart, the two soon arrived at the ground and relaxed.

"Phew… So, what's your name?" To avoid any suspicion, Victor decided to ask for the boy's identity before he accidentally spewed it out on his own.

And, of course, without any doubt behind his words, the boy promptly answered. "My name is Luka."

"Thanks, Luka. I would stay on the temple's grounds the entire day if it wasn't for you." Victor nodded at the purple-haired boy and told him. "By the way, the name's Victor, nice to meet you."

"...Now that I think about it, I remember Hans telling me about someone accidentally being on the way of a falling tree..."

"Yep, that's me." Victor nodded again.

"I see." Luka nodded in understanding. "Hans asked me to tell you that he is sorry for what happened, if I met you in my way to the temple."

Hearing that, Victor shook his head. "It's not his fault, it was just my shitty luck playing in."

"Hmm." Luka hummed. "I wanted to ask, are you one of the Hero Apprentices that came here to get baptized? You don't look like you're from around these parts."

"It's nothing like that." The young man replied. "If you are worried about my carrier being ruined for a broken leg, I appreciate it, but you don't need to worry."

Luka nodded at his words. "I see. Then, if it's okay with you, I can offer you a stay at my inn."

Victor paused as he processed the words, and blinked in surprise.

Wasn't this guy too kind? To offer hospitality to a complete stranger. Although, it did fit the guy's character, but... damn.

"Uhh... Sure. I don't really have anywhere to stay for the time being, anyway."

"Good!" Luka exclaimed. "I'll take you there, then."

Doing as he said, the young boy pushed Victor's wheelchair across the village, and while Luka was carrying him to the aforementioned inn, Victor was left stranded on his own thoughts...

...Or so it looked like from an outsider's eyes.

There was no such thing as an isekai story without a specialty related to the protagonist. Some call it a 'Cheat', others call it a 'Golden Finger', and a couple of people might use the slang 'Hax'.

However. Victor preferred the term…

'System.'

As he commanded, a semi-transparent panel that only he was able to see appeared before him.

Victor originally came to find this out while he was on his way to the hospital, but he was under too much pain to do anything but crying over people's shoulders as they carried him to the temple.

As things calmed down, he also confirmed that the doctor who took care of him couldn't see the screen, so he put his heart at ease and left the matter for another time—

—That 'another time' being now, without anything or anyone disturbing him.

[Status Info]

[Skill List]

[Tycoon Info]

[Upgrade Info]

[Store]

[Achievements]

[Inventory]

[Rebirth]

Let's us see what Victor had… Status, Skills... Tycoon? Upgrade? Huh...

'Let's start with baby steps.' Such were Victor's thoughts before he proceeded to check each setting one by one, starting with the so-called Status Info.

[Name: Victor]

[Surname: Luis]

[Age: 17y-3m-28d]

[Gender: Male]

[Race: Human]

[Magic Tier: N/A]

[Body Tier: F]

[Spirit Tier: F]

[Mind Tier: E]

Victor stroked his chin as he observed the second half of the status screen. There were unusual parameters, unlike in The Gamer or Only I Level Up. But... Oh, well, he was going to learn about it all eventually.

Unfortunately, there didn't seem to be any help option, so he had to do things manually on his own.

The next would be the Skill List…

[There are no Skills available, please buy new skills.]

[Warning: The Skills showing up here represent only the host's bought abilities. Skills that the Host previously had or obtained without the System's help will not be showcased.]

Pretty self-explanatory, although he noticed the implications being the fact that the so-called skills were, apparently, 'purchasable'.

After that, there was something he didn't recognize: Tycoon Info.

[Current Production: 0 Gold/Hour]

[Basic Production: 0 Gold/Hour]

[Current Multiplier: 1x]

[Automatic Wood Cutter: Free]

[Automatic Stone Retriever: 10 Gold]

[Coal Mine: 50 Gold]

Victor blinked in surprise as he stared at the screen… Was this some kind of Roblox Tycoon game?

Though, he wasn't going complain if he could bring the gold out here. At least that would mean he'd have an infinite source of money, right?

For the moment, he bought the Automatic Wood Cutter since it was free, and the production climbed up to 1 Gold/Hour.

Did that mean he had to wait 10 hours to get the next source of income? That kind of sucked…

Past the Tycoon Info, there was the Upgrade Info.

[Cleaner: 200 Gold]

[Purifier: 300 Gold]

[Polisher: 500 Gold]

[Refiner: 1'000 Gold]

...Yeah, this is just like Roblox's Tycoon games.

Anyway, they kind of cost a lot, and there was no way to know how much they were going to help with the Tycoon. Of course, that meant he had to focus on the Tycoon rather than Upgrades.

Meanwhile, the Store was filled with any kind of stuff in and out of this universe. As long as it could be imagined, it can be bought with gold. Although many of them had an abominable price… For example, the Spear of Longinus from Evangelion is around 22 digits.

On one hand, it meant that as long as he could get the money, anything could theoretically be bought. This was basically an insult to the idiom 'Money cannot buy happiness'.

On the other hand, the saying of 'as lobg as it could be imagined' had to be interpreted literally, since Victor could only purchase things he actually knew about.

There was no 'best offers', no 'seasonal discounts' of any kind... It was just him and the search bar.

As for Achievements and Inventory, there was nothing noteworthy of them. But as for what stood past them...

[Rebirth]

[Cost of Rebirth: 1'000'000'000 Gold]

[Rebirth will reset your System's progress and will totally erase every trace of yourself in this universe before sending you to a different one.]

[You will obtain a permanent multiplier of 1.1x and the chance to choose between three Extreme-class Items, Abilities, or various Properties.]

[Note: Extreme-class Properties are every kind of property that stands at the very apex of the universe you are currently in.]

"Hmm?" Victor raised an eyebrow at that description. If that was the case, in Monster Girl Quest, something that could be classified as 'Extreme-class' would be the Power of Chaos.

"Something in your mind?" To raise up a conversation, Luka asked as soon as he heard Victor humming.

"...When was the baptism day?"

"It's the first day of May, a week from now. If you want to become a hero, I don't really think you should…" Luka replied with some hesitation, and Victor chuckled.

"Yeah, right. I don't want to be a Hero at all, it sounds like a pain in the ass to me. I prefer to be rich without doing anything. What about you?" Victor asked back.

Luka enthusiastically nodded and replied. "I will get baptized! At the moment, I am training at my hardest so I can be a great Hero. And once the Goddess will baptize me to be a Hero, I will travel around the world!"

"Well, I am not one to judge other people's dreams…" Victor muttered, even though he has extreme prejudge against everyone he doesn't know and everyone on the internet, to the point he is borderline racist, patriarch-propagating, misogynistic, xenophobic, homophobic, misanthropist, speciesist, anti-weeb, sizeist, nazist, communist, capitalist, ableist, biphobic, islamophobic, hypocrite, transphobic, lesbophobic, discriminating against non-binary genders, gerontophobic and misopedic.

...But that's just on the internet, he is normally pretty meek with friends, unless he is in a really bad mood or someone straight-up tries to make him angry like the doctor.

"You said you want to be rich without doing anything, what do you mean?" Luka asked. As someone who always works hard, he found the notion of being lazy and successful to be something wrong, but he wasn't one to talk without assessing the other party's situation.

"At this very moment, I am making money without doing anything at all except living. The more time passes, the more money I get." Victor grinned with a prideful glint on his eyes.

"Huh? Really?" Luka blinked in surprise while Victor nodded.

"At the moment, I am getting one gold coin every hour, so it's not much. But the more time passes, the more money I will get. My dream is obtaining a luxurious life without doing anything…"

"...Isn't that kind of wrong? People work hard to realize their dreams. Even I have a dream, and being a Hero is one of the many steps I have to go through, but that dream of yours…"

"It's stupid, right? What about your dream?" Victor asked with a raised eyebrow as he stared up to Luka.

Luka looked a bit embarrassed at that question and replied. "Well… I want to make it possible that humans and monsters coexist like 30 years ago, before Remina was destroyed…"

"Hohoho…" A deep and derisive laugh came from Victor. "There are so many things that I want to say about that big dream of yours…"

"S-Shut up! It's still better than that dream of yours!" Luka rebuked, but Victor simply smiled.

"That depends on the point of view. There are people who are dreaming of conquering the world, or people dreaming of getting a stable job and live through their lives without problems, not to talk about people I know who would gladly sell their souls to the devil just to marry and have a happy family with any of the Monsters around here.

Everyone has their share of big and small dreams, but in their opinions, none of them are stupid dreams. In fact, my dream is much bigger than yours. You said you will work hard for your dream, you will certainly do your best to get stronger and stronger and have a conversation with the Monster Lord so you can achieve that little dream of yours. Meanwhile, I don't want any of that crap, and I want to get rich anyway. Isn't that kind of impossible?"

"Well, now that you say it…" If Luka had to compare the degree of difficulty between their dreams, Victor's dream is indeed much harder to achieve than his. In the end, a human actually reached the level where they can defeat the Monster Lord by themselves.

However, going from Zero to Hero without doing any effort as Victor wanted is unheard of. Even the children of the nobility have some kind of starting line, but Victor is different. He is poor, he is crippled, and he looks like any other commoner.

How is he supposed to live a luxurious life? Maybe he knows.

"However, that dream of yours can be crippled in an instant. Do you know how? As soon as you change your mind, your dream is smoked away. If you keep going in your path, you will either accomplish that dream of yours or die in the way. But the only way one can't reach the end of their path is by giving up in the middle. Even if you die, who knows what is beyond the gate of the afterlife. You might continue to pull in the effort for your dream even after your death."

"..." Luka clutched his mouth at that and didn't talk anymore. What Luka didn't know is that Victor is not only good at being the biggest asshole Goddess Ilias has ever let step on earth, but also a massive hypocrite with skin as thick as China's Walls and no hesitation to switch into the 'Social Justice Victor' mode.

Many times though, that hypocrisy was also his weak point as he was always silenced when people brought that out, unless he switched social media.

"We're here." Soon, Luka spoke again as they reached a large building entirely made of polished wood with the tag 'INN' attached to the side, painted in yellow.

Luka opened the door, and loud sounds came from there as soon as the doors opened, taking Victor by surprise. Luka moved out of the way and walked behind Victor to push him in the inn, and Victor was welcomed by a couple of groups chattering on two different tables, with other people making noise in other rooms.

Some people glanced at them for a couple of moments before turning to their conversation, but Victor simply gazed over everything around the room. He really didn't expect Luka to have this kind of success with his inn management…

"...Oh, by the way, how much do I have to pay for the time here?" That was important. Victor wasn't that kind of asshole who forgets about debts, even if he was one in everything else.

"It's 5 Gold for each night. I will be gone after a week, so you can stay here at most 6 days since on the last day I will make my last preparations."

Victor nodded. If he gets 1 Gold at every hour, he could reach around 132 Gold, and more depending on today's time. If it is midday, then it would be right there. So he will just have to pull off 30 out of that sum. However, he will also have to feed himself, so he might obtain the Automatic Stone Retriever tomorrow at least.

Unfortunately, he has to go outside to get some food, as even a normal sandwich costs 30 Gold in his store… The stuff there is too costly.

"You also prepare meals here, right?"

"Yes, it is an additional Gold for each meal. If you want, I can also put that together with the debt, which will be a total of 48 Gold at the end of the week. Are you fine with it?"

"It's not a problem, I can pay you that and the interest by that time," Victor assured him. "If you want, we can also round it up to 50. You are doing me a great favor, this can't be repaid with a simple inn debt."

"It's nothing at all. It's the job of a Hero helping the weak! But are you sure you can gather money? I don't mind much if I have to give you a discount…"

"Trust me, you will get what you will deserve, in one way or another. I have a broken leg but I am not some kind of disabled. Besides, I will fix my leg soon enough, just give me the time to gather the money." Victor assured Luka as another problem was fixed.

Fortunately, he can transport the money he makes in the System back in the real world, or it would get quite messy…

After Luka picked a key from behind the counter, he carried Victor through the long hall before they reached the last door, which was apparently the only unoccupied room in the inn if you didn't include Luka's own room.

"This will be your room. Now it's afternoon, so you have to wait for the evening to have dinner. I'll be at the counter if you need something." Luka passed Victor the room's keys, which he calmly picked.

"Alright. See you later." Victor bent forward his back and opened the door so he could enter the room and closed the door as soon as he wheeled in. Victor took a long glance at the insides of the room he will be staying in for 6 days…

Small, a window on the other side of the room, a small table with a chair, and a bed. The very minimum was here, but Victor can't complain.

Besides, that minimum is enough for him. As long as he has his phone, he is okay with staying outside. Even without the internet, there is still some stuff he can do with his phone.

After reaching for the bed, he used his fine right leg to stand up and sit on the bed, before he put himself in a comfortable position and pulled his phone out of his pocket.

Now it was time to wait and make money!

Victor Luis' (future) Trivia Book: Humans

[This is simply a Trivia, some parts come from real sources, other parts come from my thinking. This is written a lot after this time, so some things might result different compared to the situation on Victor's current timeline. You can totally skip it if you want.]

Humans are one of the three main species in this world, along with Angels and Monsters. However, unlike the latter, humans don't have any racial distinction like the Angelic Hierarchy and the thousands over thousands of subspecies of Monsters.

They are also the only intelligent creatures able to give birth to both males and females, and therefore targeted by the other two species for their capability of reproducing by themselves, especially men.

However, for angels, that is not necessary as the Goddess Ilias is able to create more of them. But for monsters, that is another matter altogether.

Humans are originated by the inbreeding that the Goddess Ilias achieved, by erasing other possible paths of evolution and forcing excellent ape specimens to breed with each other until humanity is born.

Due to the contact with the Goddess, their soul has been tainted by her Holy Energy, and thus their existence reached an extreme imbalance between the holy energy inside their souls and their physical bodies that represent an alternate 'Dark Energy'.

Because of this, they are susceptible to a special status called 'Critical Ecstasy'. Critical Ecstasy is a status that is reached during the intercourse between a human man and a monster girl.

At the end of the intercourse, during the climax, the man's genitals will have its orifice fully opened, permitting the monster girl to inject dark energy inside the human using their fluids. It is entirely possible for experts between monsters to achieve Critical Ecstasy in a human using their dark energy in a remote manner, or mixing it with their scent, making Succubi and old monster girls dangerous.

When a Monster Girl's Dark Energy enters in a Human Man's body, the presence of their innate Holy Energy and the invasive Dark Energy in their bodies will repel each other, and because the Human Man has no way to react to this new sensation spreading around their bodies, their bodies and their minds will achieve a state of 'Power Off' for enough time until the Dark Energy is expelled out of the body.

Thus, it is impossible for a Human to acclimate to Critical Ecstasy, as they will never be able to obtain the opportunity to memorize how it feels to be under Critical Ecstasy, too busy with the feeling of having intercourse with a Monster Girl and her impressive sexual skills.

However, unlike normal humans, Heroes are blessed with a greater Holy Energy than the average, making it possible for them to achieve superhuman abilities in future. Because of that, their hormones will also carry traces of holy energy, which is repulsive to Monster Girls due to the nature of their Holy/Dark relations. A Hero's flesh tastes bad, and their semen, which carries the human essence, tastes even worse.

(Censored by the Author of the Book, Victor Luis, for specific reasons)

Humankind of this world and Humankind of my world, although have many similarities, they are completely different. If both originated in the same world, there would be many chances that one of them would lose their title of 'Humans' for this reason.

Humankind of Monster Girl Quest is blessed with an innate sacred soul, which can help them break past their limits through sheer will. However, that depends on the individual, too.

Luka is a special case, because his soul is entirely angelic, even if suppressed for a while due to his keepsake. Thanks to that, he could achieve the power of a Seraph through his own determination and unique origins.

Past him, there are Heroes, who are more prone for being stronger than normal humans. However, there is rarely a person like that, because most Heroes are corrupted by their own ego and use their title to have anything they want. Because of that, their willpower will never improve, and thus they will be as strong as normal people.

But for Heroes who can go through enough life and death battles, they can certainly break their shackles and become true Heroes, people who are capable of manifesting supernatural powers coming from the Holy Energy residing inside them. The rumor about the Goddess assisting the Hero in a fight with her blessing is not entirely wrong, just extremely rare.

Even normal people can achieve superhuman feats, but that will require much greater willpower than anyone else. Heinrich Hein is such an example, as his determination, coupled with the assistance of the Four Spirits and Black Alice disguising as Alicetroemeria, brought him to the level where he could almost kill Black Alice.

He already reached the peak of his power then, but he broke past his current limits through the immense amount of Holy Energy his body absorbed during his rampage in Heaven. However, that had a double-edged effect of corrupting his mortal flesh, leaving his vessel mindlessly rampaging around in Heaven while his spirit tainted by massive intakes of Holy Energy was captured by the Goddess and sealed in the Sealed Sinner's Prison.

Also, in an additional note, Humankind here can learn how to harness their innate Holy Energy to manifest 'Magic', and thus accomplishing the seemingly impossible task of casting spells. However, it requires a great amount of time for a human to understand the mechanics of Holy Energy. And by the time they can cast their first spell, they are already past 50 years old.

Combining those facts with Critical Ecstasy, and their naturally weak bodies born from the haste that the Goddess Ilias went through when trying to form humankind through forced breeding, make up the difference between these humans and our humans.

Our Humankind is born through natural breeding, granting us more time to adapt to our bodies and let our genes develop at their 100% in a flawless manner. An adult from Earth can suppress a trained soldier from this world, a teenager from Earth can suppress an adult from this world, a child from Earth can suppress a teenager from this world, and so on.

However, at the cost of greater basic strength, our potential is severely smaller than theirs. At most, we could lift around 500 or 600 kilograms over our heads. True Heroes would find that laughable, as they can crush boulders barehanded after they used a bit of their true potential.

That is brought back in balance by the fact that we are also immune to any status-changing spell. Not only Critical Ecstasy, but anything that uses Dark or Holy Energy as a source of power will not be able to affect us. Even the instant death spells powerful monsters can unleash will be shrugged off.

The reason will remain untold as it is forbidden knowledge. The reason is that if someone else gets their hands on the first Trivia Book, this book, which could have contained that kind of knowledge, I will face severe consequences as the only human holding that kind of power inside my body.

The Goddess Ilias is ultimately the manifestation of the will of the Light, she will never die permanently. One day, she might resurrect, or another will might replace her. Even under the new form she had in the Visual Novel, she still exists in one way or another.

Another person with great and terrible ambitions might take in hand Promestein's research. And once they will find out the truth about my existence, they will certainly target me in some way. There are many possibilities, and thus this will spread out only orally.

This is the end of the original chapter about Humanity.
