With Snow and Blaze at his side, Alfraed sprinted with a speed beyond that of a normal human and reached his newly acquired land. The territory lived up to his hopes, boasting fertile soil, a clear river, abundant forests, and numerous other features he would have admired, if not for the floating island he needed to pursue.
"Snow, Blaze, we're not stopping here," Alfraed said, his voice tight with urgency. His eyes locked onto the distant silhouette of the floating island, now hovering ominously above the heart of his territory.
"Kyuu" Snow and Blaze chirped in unison, their forms shifting back into their smaller states as they leaped onto Alfraed's shoulders. Their tiny claws clung tightly to his shirt, ready for whatever lay ahead.
The scenery blurred around him as he pushed himself faster, his boots barely touching the ground. The air whipped past his face, cold and sharp, but he barely felt it. His focus was singular: the floating island.
