The blood was scorching hot.
The rain was chillingly cold.
Pandora, however, felt extremely cold.
The more blood she lost, the colder her body became. And inside her body, a strange energy continually wreaked havoc, preventing her from exerting her full strength. It was excruciatingly painful. If she had some time, maybe she could have purged this accursed energy, but the two menacing-looking individuals standing not far away clearly weren't going to give her that chance.
Of course, Pandora felt she could endure all that.
The only thing she felt unbearable was the feeling of utter loneliness, without any support.
"Splash, splash…"
The rain fell, the droplets continuously hitting the ground, turning into steam as they rose. Pandora's lips were tightly pursed.
