Hugging her thinking, about the bullet vest that save his life, or her dream would have come true.
Since that first episode she told me what she had dreamt. I started to put on the vest hearing she didn't want to lose me.
And most of her dreams come true, which I had seen for myself making me a believer.'
Resting his right hand on her shoulder, Diandra hear him chuckle. "What is the joke?"
"Oh, nothing much."
"Are you going to share it, or do I have to guess?"
"Oh, what the heck, I was thinking I could spend some money and get myself a bullet proof robot suit. So next time everything will bounce back."
"You feel that is some kind of a joke, just supposed they had shot you in your chest or your head. Do you want me to be a widow and make your children orphans?"
"Okay, okay I am sorry, I shouldn't make this a joking matter." Seeing how quiet she was, Alex, stood up holding her hand.
"Look, it was a trying day and I making such a foolish joke wasn't helping. Will you please forgive me and let us go to bed?"
"You go ahead I will be up in a while."
"Sweetheart, I will wait on you."
"Please Alex, I want to be alone, and you need to take your medication."
As the words leave her lips the small voice in her head said. "Yes Diandra, let him go, but remember they are watching the house.
And if something were to happen to him, you will never forgive yourself."
Alex was about to turn when Diandra held his hand. "I am sorry, I knew you wanted to ease the tension. Will you just give me a few minutes to fix a sandwich and make a cup of tea?"
"Go ahead, I will check all the doors and windows while you fix your tray."
Wondering, 'If he will see the men, well maybe it's best for him to know that we are being watch and the heavy burden will be lifted.'
Fixing herself a cheese sandwich and a hot cup of milo, Diandra walk to the step waiting for Alex.
Calling out to him, "I am here my love, have you seen the room I fix for Sam?"
"Yes, I did, come on I am a bit tired."
Reaching his room Alex went and took his medication, then invite Diandra to sit next to him. She had only rested the tray down and sit next to him. Hearing him snore thinking, 'He had fallen asleep,'
Diandra ease of the bed and take the tray up, then the chair placing it next to the window and sit-down, keeping watch, as she nibble on the sandwich.
Leaning her head against the wall when the midnight hour bang. Glancing outside only to see the two men stood up and cross the street.
They look at the house and was taking a step forward near the gate, when she notice one of the company vehicles passes by.
They immediately step into the pavement and take a few steps down the street.
Anxious to see if they were leaving, but when the vehicle was out of sight they return to the gate. Feeling her heart beating fast as fear builds up.
Punching in the police number when they touch the gate and both jumps back holding their hands.
'That will teach them, Alex had done well;' Diandra, knew when she was here he didn't have that electrical alarm installed.
'Maybe after the threats, he decided to do that, now we are much safer with the alarm installed.'
Noticing the men sat down and was calling someone. When the police answer Diandra inform them what she have been observed from about nine-o-clock and what the men was doing now.
Diandra then calls Sergeant Gomez, updating him on what has been happening. "Sergeant, it seems as though they are waiting on someone, so keep your men on the alert."
Switching off her phone then sit and wait, knowing they are plotting something. Diandra, sits on the chair feeling her eyes lids burning.
Hurrying she tiptoe to the washroom and wash her face, 'I can't afford to feel sleepy now.'
Returning to the chair, seeing the men was standing now, when a car drives up and stop. Watching as they collects a bag, then the car drive away.
Unable to see the vehicle registration number, but the car was a black BMW. Ten minutes must have past, when the men take out something from the bag.
They must be thinking about cutting the electrical wire, because one was holding a torch light and the other was holding a tool in his hand.
They were so caught up trying to get whatever they wanted, when a police jeep stops suddenly, grabbing the both of them.
Seeing them in handcuff as they were pushed into the van, and the jeep drives away. Thanking the Lord, when the company vehicle stops and pop the hone, then drive off.
Hearing Alex saying, "Honey what are you doing? Come to bed."
"I will, the place is so hot and I cannot sleep."
"Then put the AC on or the fan but I am feeling so cold." Diandra put the fan on facing her, then lie next to him. His skin was roasting hot.
Getting up for his pain killer and a glass of water. "Alex, here drink this and you will feel better." Hugging him but the sleep has vanish, thinking about the danger ahead.
Diandra knows they are still targeting him, so his life is in great danger. "Lord, whoever this person is that drop the bag, he must be the one responsible for the shooting.
But You have help deal with the problem tonight, whatever we are face with ahead of us, I know You will never leave us nor forsake.
Because I set my eyes on You, I know You will keep us, You holds my tomorrow and I thank You. All I continue to ask is for You to please keep us safe, we need You now more that ever."
Diandra heard the clock bang two as her eyes close, knowing all will be well for the night.
