Shanay POV
Hi my name is shanay. I am 18 years old and i am a senior in high school. Im also a nerd,i have the glasses to prove it. I live in Los Angeles and i am a very shy person. I dont actually have alot of friends. Okay so let me start off by telling you what happened the first day i met the love of my life.
It was just a normal day.I woke up did the usual,got dressed and went down stairs and ate my breakfast and went to school.when I got to school I hung out with my friends until the bell rang. When I got to class there was a new tranfer student and he was from Britain and he was so handsome and was it a coincidence that there was a seat open next to me? So I was just drawing in my note pad when he walked up to me and asked "Is this seat taken?"
Then I said "No there is nobody sitting next to me."
Then he sat down next to me and looked at my drawings and said"Wow you really know how to draw." "Well thank you that is the nicest thing someone has ever said to me"I said.
I loved the way he spoke to me in his British accent,it just gave me butterflies in my tummy.I would just get lost in his bright dreamy blue eyes and his soft looking lips.He looked like Shawn Mendes. He was so cute(or should I say hot).
I could just stare into his eyes all day.After school when I got home my mother said that the Kandia's were coming over for dinner because they just moved in next door.And that they had one child and he was my age and really handsome.
When I went upstairs I thought about it and there was a new guy in my class and he just moved here and he was so handsome and my mom just said that there were these new people who moved here from Britain.
I just realized it and I think that the people coming over later is the guy that is in my class.
When I had just finished putting my make up on I heard the door bell ring then I ran downstairs but not too fast because I had my high heels on. When I opened the door I only saw two people, a man who looked like he was in his fourty's and a woman who looked a little younger than him. When they got inside and sat down at the table they said that their son will be here in a few minutes. I could not wait to see who their son was,if he was the new student who was in my class or just another handsome looking British guy. And just as I was about to start eating my food the door bell rang.
"Shanay dear can you get the door? "said my mom.
"But mom, I just started eating." I said to her.
"No butts or and's little missy, just go and get the door."
So then I got up and went to get the door. When I got the door I saw it was the guy from my class.
"Oh, hi I remember you from somewhere." He said
"Ah, well you sit next to me in all of our classes." I answered
"Oh that's where your from. Oh, and did I tell you that you look really pretty by the way." He said
"Well, thank you ,you also look really handsome today." I said back with confidence.
"What's your name by the way I just never asked?" I asked him
"It's Luke, Luke Grayson." He said, that's a really nice name I even had to say it in my mind to get used to it, that's how nice it is.
"Wow, that's a really nice name Luke Grayson, did I tell you this but you are really handsome." I said,maybe I shouldn't have told him,that was a bad idea what if he gets offended or something like that?I am so stupid how could I let myself say that? Gosh now he thinks I'm a freak?
"Why thank you,you actually look beautiful yourself,you actually rock that dress." He said,maybe I just underestimated him thats all,he's actually pretty cool.
We just stood outside there and the next thing I know is that he puts his arms around my waist and squeezes my butt. We were so close together that I didn't realise that we were outside the house for like what felt like forever.
He gave me butterflies just looking into his eyes. I just wanted to be close to him and no one else.So then we went inside and I was sitting next to him,he put his hand on my thigh and he squeezed it. Just as I was about to start eating again the door bell rang.
I was not expecting anybody to come at this hour then I got up and went to the door. When I opened the door ,it was my ex- , Jordan. Urhh why did he have to come here now especially when this new guy Luke was here.
But what the heck,let me just see what Jordan wants and just get it over and done with. I think I know what he wants ,he wants me back but I don't want him.
"Shanay, I miss you. Baby, I need you back. I don't think I can live without you."
"Well you could live without me when you cheated on me."
"I'm sorry, I was drunk that night. How was I supposed to control myself. Well you did not want to come to the party with me."
"Yes I know that I didn't want to go to the party with you because I had to study. And you even had sex with some random girl Jordan but hey I thought I loved you because you're just like me,a nerd but you just go and do this to me and expect to get me back so easily, well think twice mister because I've moved on, so bye and please don't ever speak to me ever again."
"How was I supposed to know? Okay I'm sorry can you please please give me one more chance."
As he said that he got closer to me and pinned me against the wall, leaving no space between us. He was about to kiss me when Luke just appeared from out of nowhere and pushed him away, saying "Don't you dare do that to her ever again."
Jordan left and Luke checked to see if I was okay. "Did he hurt you,are you fine?"
"I'm good, l-lets go back inside before they think otherwise."
The next day Luke asked me :
"Okay, umm Shanay...I was wondering if you would like to go out on a date on Friday?"
"Well, yeah Friday would be great."
"So I'll pick you up at 7 p.m. sharp."
"Okay ,see you on Friday."
All the girls were all over Luke, but only one girl was not all over him in public but she was all over him in her mind. And that girl was me.
