Without wasting any time, the two of us charged towards the monster again. The monster tried to perform a quick backstep to get away from the two of us but I managed to use one of my explosion spells to blast me behind it.
I slammed my shoulder into the monster, sending it towards Fang. With a snarl, Fang bit down on the monster to put an end to its momentum and began swinging the monster around in a circle. Despite the monster scratching Fang, he didn't release his grip. As Fang continued to swing the monster around, I jumped upward, using an explosion to launch myself high into the air.
Fang quickly caught notice of me and using the remaining strength he had, threw the monster upward in my direction. I briefly nodded at Fang as he collapsed before smashing my fist into the snout of the monster. With the monster having no way to dodge my attacks, all it could do was float there and take on the barrage of strikesI was laying on it as I used my explosions to keep myself in the air.
Whenever the monster would get pushed away, I would fire an explosion for me to close the gap and keep it away from the ground. With Genki put away in his sheathe, I could use every limb to keep myself in the air no matter what kind of attack I used.
"You're fast, I'll give you that. Unfortunately for you, you have no power while in the air unlike me. The moment you entered my domain, this fight was over!" Right as I said that last part, I raised my right leg and used another axe kick on the monster.
I looked down at Emma as I began descending back towards the ground, "fire it now!"
Emma nodded and finally let loose all of the magic she had been storing into that spell, "Fire Ball!"
The bright orange magic ring in front of Emma had disappeared and instead was replaced by a giant sphere of pure flames. The flame sphere was launched towards the monster. The monster tried to stand up so it could dodge the attack but the damage I had done caused it to wobble and fall over. All the monster could do was lay there before being engulfed within the flame sphere and being burned away.
As I landed onto the ground, the three of us looked at each other in silence for a moment. That silence however was soon broken with us all letting out a victory shout.
"Now we just need to go get Steven and we'll be free to leave." I said, wiping the sweat off my brow.
I looked over at Emma and Fang who had collapsed due to exhaustion. I smiled a little and thought to myself, "it can wait until they're ready."
