"Son, I know it hurts to see how they treat Shawney but she is a bless child, if I know her she might give them whatever they ask.
Mitch you know what, when she does God will bless her with even better things, so don't let that bother you."
"You are right dad, I am sorry dad, I shouldn't interfere with what decision she makes."
Seeing them smile as I paused for a moment then said, "Dad, I am going to meet Joseph, can I use your car, my bus is at the auto shop?"
"Go ahead but I need it back for one-o-clock, oh and son not am." Hearing him laugh as he went for the keys.
"Uncle Robert, you are too soft on Mitch," Sid said.
"Children, I am his father, if he can't come to me when he has a need, then who could he go to?
Love is not something you buy, it is earned and that son of mine earned his love and he is a good child."
"But Uncle he used you?" Meg replies.
"Just as you all used Shawney when you want something?"
"But Uncle that's not true, we don't use Shawney, she loves fixing our meals."
"I see, so that's how you see it Meg, Sid what do you think?"
"Uncle, you seem to know and understand Shawney, but she doesn't complain."
"So, because she doesn't complain, do you think that she like slaving in the kitchen or being ordered by each of you?"
"Uncle Robert" Sid replies "We don't order Shawney around, she volunteers to fix our meals."
Robert scoffs, "I really can't believe the four of you, after all, she has given to you all, but then when a person is selfish they only see things one way and always wants, giving nothing in return.
I am sure all that you have, not one day had Shawney ever asked you for anything.
You all think about that, now I will leave you to finish your breakfast." Taking up Shawney bag from the table,
"You all enjoy your breakfast your aunt and I have an errand to run for about an hour when Mitch returns."

Walking down the stairs Torren observed his Dad sitting in the living room. He seems lost in his thought.
Not wanting to disturb him but I need to know if he will be going to the factory. Sitting next to him quietly then touch his hand, when he smiles then asks, "Did you rest well, son?"
"Yes dad, I am fine, I just wanted to know if you will be going to the factory today?"
"No son, I have some errands to run for the dinner tomorrow but if you need something I could get it for you."
"I was thinking, about getting a gown for Shawney for the dinner."
"That is a great idea son but will you be sending it to Robert home for her?"
"No dad, I ask her to come before lunch."
Patting his hand "Then don't worry it will be here I will call and arrange everything." Seeing him still sitting as though contemplating on something.
"Torren, is there something else you wanted or is something on your mind you want to discuss?"
"I was thinking if we will be needing anything for the children, will you check with Liz if you don't mind, I am just going for a ride."
"Torren, are you okay son?"
Seeing his concern, "I am fine Dad, I just need to get some fresh air, I should be back within an hour."
Watching him leaves the living room thinking, 'Has he figures out she has an inheritance. I know when he is angry; nothing sinks into that head of his, but that fool had to open his big mouth.
I understand that he loves her, but did he have to spill the truth out in front of everyone? But I must really thank God, the other children weren't with us.
Also he didn't mention what type business she owns neither the parcel of land, it was only the shares.'
Entering the kitchen, "Louise have you made arrangements to get some extra help for tomorrow?"
"Yes Sir." "Then give me the list so I can get all you will need."
"Sir, I have already ordered all that I need, the delivery truck will be here anytime now."
"Louise, I need you to ensure that everything is in order, and on time, I don't want Torren to be displeased. "Sir, there's no need to worry our young Master told me what he wanted on the menu and I just add a few other things he likes.
Sir, I know you are doing this for him and I am so happy, I will be preparing extra just-in-case."
"Thank you, Louise, now if you need anything, just let me know, I will be in my room."
Hearing Lasandra calls out to Jeff as he was about to leave, "Honey doesn't forget my dress and a matching pair of shoes."
Taking the phone, I order the gown for Shawney and a few other things then went to take a lie down.

Sitting on the ridge enjoying the fresh air, 'it was always the place I could rationalize things clearly.
These days things are becoming less confusing in my mind, the way I used to hear all those voices. The only thing is I can't seem to shake Shawney out of my mind.
Torren whispering a prayer, "Lord what should I do, will I be making a mistake getting involved with Shawney?
Her family doesn't seem to care a lot about her, and it seems she doesn't care either.
But from what her Uncle was saying she seems to have an inheritance which she has distributed to her family only keeping twenty-five percent for herself.
Thinking out loud "What sort of business she owned and who is managing it?
With her traveling around and her family is here, she must really trust that person to leave her inheritance in their hands.
To own twenty-five percent shares, means it must be good business?'
