Chapter 3 - Chapter 3: Secret

Seff's P.O.V.

I clutched my chest as I felt a sharp pain as I looked up at the moon.

"Nate!!" I called out to him, trying to keep myself steady. In an instant, I heard his voice.

"Seff? What's wrong?" He helped me up as I growled in pain.

"It's getting harder to hold it in. But I can't risk it… not again." I slammed my fist against the tree I was leaning on.

"Seff, you need to tell Alice. She needs to remember." Nate said, reaching for his sais. I shook my head and got my own daggers out. "She can't remember us or even me. It's best for her…to keep her safe… Now let's do this before I get worse."

Alice's P.O.V.

"Ah!" I screamed, almost falling off the chair,

"This is a bad idea, but I need that pot." I thought reaching for it one last time. I slipped and began to fall, but before I could hit the floor, I felt as someone caught me.

"Well, well, well, little princess. You're getting in trouble this early in the night." Alec smirked, holding me closely to him. I gasped and quickly jumped out of his arms.

"I'm sorry," I said, embarrassed. He giggled and pulled me to him,

"You know it's not fair that Seff, Zeph, and Yuki get a taste." He licked my ear. I blushed and tried to push him away. But he held me and licked my neck.

"No, Alec, don't!" I tried to get away again, but I felt him bite my shoulder and began to drink.

"Ow, that hurts," I thought, wincing and shutting my eyes from the pain.

"Alec!" I heard a voice call. I opened my eyes to see Roan standing at the doorway of the kitchen.

"Alec, I thought you were too busy studying to be messing around," he said, crossing his arms.

Alec stopped as he snarled out, "Fine!"

He let me go and shoved passed Roan. Alec called out, "I'll see you at dinner, princess." Roan sighed as he turned his attention to me.

"The smell of your blood is tempting for all of us. I'm sorry. As the oldest, I should have more control over my siblings," He came to me and looked around as if to make sure no one was around.

"But it's hard to fight our urges." I jumped as he licked the bite that Alec had left me, and I could tell he was drinking my blood, but he didn't bite me.

"I know you're there, Seff," I heard Roan say. I looked to see Seff walk into the kitchen. Roan smirked when he saw Seff's face,

"Looks like someone is jealous," He then picked me up bridal style.

"I don't like it when you guys keep hurting our rose. She's fragile and doesn't need all of you biting at her." I tried to get down, but Roan tightened his grip. I could tell Seff was getting angry. "Let her go," Seff growled, reaching for his daggers as if he were getting ready to fight.

I heard Roan chuckle, "You know you can't beat me, Seff." I then gasped as flames appeared around the kitchen.

"This is bad." I thought, then yelled,

"Stop it right now!! Both of you!!" They both looked at me, and I got a sudden feeling of deja vu, as I thought of the first time I met them, or that I had been in a situation before… Roan put me down and walked out of the kitchen, passing Seff. I watched as Roan left a bit dazed.

"You alright?" Seff said, walking to me. I nodded. "He didn't hurt you. Did he?" I could feel Seff gently hug me from behind as he buried his face into my neck. "No, I'm okay," I said, blushing.

"Stay this way forever, please. Don't remember…" I heard him say softly. I felt as he let go, but before I could ask, he was gone.

"What was he talking about?" I thought.

 ~*~

That night, after dinner, I made my way to my room and noticed the glow of the moon. "It's so beautiful." I thought, looking at the moon shining a bright red.

"You really don't remember, huh?" I turned to see Nate at the entrance of my balcony. "Remember what?" I asked. He shook his head as he grabbed my hand. "You have to remember Alice. He's in trouble, and he will only be free if I do this. He'll hate me, but I don't care," he said, pulling my wrist to his mouth as he bit down.
