"Wait for me there."
"Okay."
Zhou Xufang ended the call and returned the phone: "Thank you."
Her phone had been confiscated, and she had borrowed this uncle's phone on the road.
The uncle, with his dark and aged-looking skin, was a bit skinny and dressed in camouflage: "No problem." He got off his tricycle, "Looks like the little girl is lost?"
Zhou Xufang nodded: "My family is coming to pick me up," she said. "They will be here soon." She couldn't explain the specifics.
The uncle took off the straw hat he was wearing and moved the tricycle to the side: "Then I'll wait here a bit. It's getting dark, and it's not safe for a young girl to be here alone."
Zhou Xufang felt bad: "That's alright, don't trouble yourself."
He waved his hand: "It's fine." He picked up the phone and called his wife, "Wife, save some dinner for me, I'll be home late."
His wife asked if something had happened.
