Ling Tianyu rushed all the way toward the Mang Mountain's location, uncertain of the current situation. Jing Yan and the others had presumably diverted the enemy, and it was likely the forces of Heavens Beyond had split into two groups.
At the very least, they would be searching for Nangong Xuan Ying. If they managed to find him, the consequences would be dire.
On the way to escort Jing Yan to The City, Ling Tianyu asked him a question: how many people from the forces were searching for them?
The answer was unknown. All Jing Yan knew was that there were many, and the people pursuing them were just a fraction. A considerable number of forces had been dispatched to intercept Nangong Xuan Ying and his group.
Another group must still be searching within Mang Mountain. They had hidden Nangong Xuan Ying behind the waterfall to draw the enemy away.
Not all the pursuers would be diverted; some would inevitably continue searching. The fear was that they might find him.
