Prologue: The King of Gamer
The World Class Game Tournament had never seen anything like it. The crowd was electric, the atmosphere charged with anticipation as the final moments of the competition approached. But then, as if on cue, Reed rose from his seat, a victorious grin plastered across his face. It was a grin that had become all too familiar, and yet, the crowd still couldn't get enough of it.
"Another win for the King!" someone shouted from the stands."Who is this guy?" another voice responded, incredulous."You don't know who Reed is??" The person laughed, almost pitying the one who didn't know."How can you not? He's the gamer who has never lost a single tournament—across every genre, every game. Every single time.""WHAT??!!"
The noise from the crowd intensified. The atmosphere was a mix of awe and disbelief. How could someone be so unbeatable? And yet, here he was again, standing tall on the stage, claiming his crown once more.
Lead raised his arms in triumph, basking in the glory of his victory."Yeah!!! I win!!! I AM the King of Gamer!!!" His voice boomed through the stadium, and the cheers of the crowd followed like a tidal wave."LONG LIVE THE KING!!!" The chant echoed around the arena, but in the shadows of the crowd, something else was stirring. Not everyone was joining in the applause. Not everyone was impressed.
In the back, a group of figures stood quietly, their faces hidden in the dark. They exchanged glances, each of them wearing a knowing, almost predatory smile.
"Leader… he's won again.""Yeah, but this time… it's different.""Do you think we can finally defeat him?""In normal games? Not a chance. But [That] game… that is a different story.""He won't stand a chance." They nodded to each other, a dark resolve settling between them.
The crowd's excitement reached a fever pitch, but amidst the chaos, the group turned toward the exit, walking with purpose. Their eyes were not on Lead, but on something far more important—something that had been hidden from the public for far too long.
"Leader, do you think he'll get the call?""Of course. The moment he takes the title of King of Gamer, he becomes an even bigger target. But when he faces [That] game…" The leader paused, his eyes gleaming with cold certainty."He won't stand a chance. Every player in that game will target him, break his title, and tear his pride to shreds. We'll see if the so-called King can survive when it's no longer just about winning."
As the mysterious group vanished into the shadows, the noise from the stadium began to fade, but the seed of doubt had been planted. Lead, the untouchable champion, had no idea that his greatest battle—his real battle—was just beginning. And it would cost him more than just his title.
