Not curious? Angel was somewhat surprised by Alex's response.
"I just find it strange," Alex whispered with his head lowered.
"Strange in what way?"
Alex didn't answer and instead stared at the words on the paper, his eyes flickering slightly as if he saw something beyond the surface.
Seeing Alex silent, Angel did not press further but changed the subject, "Don't you care at all why they die when they leave Gust Town? And aren't you curious about what's outside Gust Town?"
Alex was silent for a long time before he slowly said, "I am not curious about what's outside Gust Town. What interests me more is..."
Alex lifted his head, looking towards the pitch-dark ceiling of the confessional as if he had seen a trapped cage. However, his gaze never lingered on the cage; instead, it moved beyond, towards the deeper Void.
