After comforting his mother and daughter and telling everyone to relax, he returned to his seat on the altar.
"Are you fine?"
Lea smiled, "After hearing you comfort everyone, even the guests will think you are soft."
Davis silently laughed and sat beside her, "I prefer that they would think that I'm a good father, husband, family man, and stop hunting me all together."
"Wishful thinking~" Lea held his hand.
"Haha, you're right."
"But… they did see you be a good man to everyone in your family. I guess that may have impacted their thoughts even if it is the slightest bit."
"I wonder."
Davis shrugged. He didn't care. Most people without a backbone tended to backstab because they were just going with the flow.
He turned to look at the crowd, opening his mouth.
