John Frost, an ordinary man living in Gotham, suddenly finds himself at the center of a mysterious web of events. Waking up with no memory of how he arrived, he discovers he's been caught in a strange series of incidents that seem to favor him at every turn. Though he chalks it up to luck, there’s something off about the way everything falls into place for him.
Unbeknownst to John, he has become the subject of a curious force—an entity known only as The Watcher. This mysterious being observes from the shadows, studying John as he unknowingly follows a path set in motion by forces beyond his control. John’s every step, every choice, is shaped by the Protagonist Template, a strange anomaly that ensures his life is full of opportunities, successes, and strange coincidences.
As Gotham’s most dangerous villain, The Nameless, continues to wreak havoc, John begins to notice odd occurrences that make him question everything. Is it just luck, or is something more sinister at play? As the lines between fate and chance blur, John will have to navigate a world where the unseen forces controlling his life might be far more dangerous than anything he’s faced before.
